La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, or “the Cross of Huanacaxtle” is named after a special tree, the “Guanacaxtle” tree. Nestled between Bucerias to the South, and Punta de Mita to the North, La Cruz real estate is in a unique position. Just 25 – 30 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport, La Cruz is also located on the Riviera Nayarit coastline.

With it’s protected location on the Banderas Bay, naturally La Cruz has been a haven for sailors and pleasure boaters alike for decades. La Cruz recently became home to the brand new 48 million dollar Riviera Nayarit Marina, with approximately 400 slips taking boats up to 400’.

There is a variety of excellent authentic cuisine from German, to Italian, English, Mediterranean, North American, and of course Mexican.

La Cruz has a wonderful live music scene that ranges from rock, to jazz. There are always “open mike” nights and karaoke too.
